The
type TORCH R-80 powder dispenser operates on the
injector principle and requires a supply of dry compressed air
or nitrogen to carry the metal powder
from the hopper to the oxygen stream of a conventional oxy-fuel
cutter.
The standard dispenser consists of a 80 Kg iron powder capacity
hopper, safety, relief and check valves, variable injector,
pressure regulator, filter and drier unit.
The
powder flows from the dispenser can be varied to
cover all the applications from the cutting stainless steel
sheet to such heavy process as scarfing and scrap cutting.
Powder
dispenser is suitable for use iron, aluminum powder and their
mixtures. Ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be cut using attachments
specifically designed by TORCH for hand or
machine OFC methods.
They
can also be used to attain quick starts in the machine cutting
of low carbon steels.
